PORTACAL® Hydrogen (H₂) Calibration Gas is designed for the calibration, bump testing, and verification of compatible hydrogen gas detectors, combustible gas sensors, and monitoring instruments.

Hydrogen (H₂) is a colorless, odorless, highly flammable gas used across a wide range of industrial, energy, manufacturing, and laboratory applications. Hydrogen is commonly encountered in fuel cells, battery and energy storage facilities, chemical processing, petroleum refining, metal processing, laboratories, power generation, and hydrogen production and storage systems.

PORTACAL® Hydrogen Calibration Gas provides a known concentration of hydrogen to help verify that compatible H₂ sensors, combustible gas detectors, portable gas monitors, and fixed gas detection systems are functioning and responding properly.

Calibration Gas

  • Gas: Hydrogen (H₂)

  • Gas Type: Non-Reactive Gas Only

  • Application: Hydrogen sensor calibration and bump testing

  • Compatible Equipment: Appropriate hydrogen and combustible gas detection and monitoring instruments

Common Applications

This hydrogen calibration gas is suitable for compatible equipment used in H₂ detector calibration, hydrogen sensor calibration, combustible gas detector calibration, LEL monitoring, gas detector bump testing, hydrogen production and storage, fuel cell systems, battery facilities, petroleum refining, chemical processing, industrial hygiene, environmental monitoring, and workplace safety applications.

Always verify the required gas concentration, cylinder connection, flow rate, and regulator compatibility for your specific gas detection instrument before use.

Cylinder Material Notice

Steel cylinders are for non-reactive calibration gases only. Aluminum cylinders are for reactive calibration gases only, regardless of cylinder size. Please verify the gas type and cylinder material when selecting your calibration gas.

Tip: Check the Specifications tab for a visual chart of available cylinder sizes, materials, pressures, dimensions, valve inlets, and regulator compatibility.
