PORTACAL® Ethane (C₂H₆) Calibration Gas is designed for the calibration, bump testing, and verification of compatible ethane gas detectors, combustible gas sensors, and monitoring instruments.

Ethane (C₂H₆) is a colorless hydrocarbon gas and a naturally occurring component of natural gas. It is widely used as a feedstock in the production of ethylene, which is used to manufacture plastics, antifreeze, detergents, and other industrial products. Ethane is also used in certain refrigeration, food processing, welding, and chemical manufacturing applications.

Steel cylinders are for non-reactive calibration gases only. Aluminum cylinders are for reactive calibration gases only, regardless of cylinder size. Please verify the gas type and cylinder material when selecting your calibration gas.
