Short-term tubes are designed for on-the-spot measurements at a particular location over a relatively short time. Applications for gas detector tubes include evaluating concentration fluctuations in the workplace, measuring contaminants in workers' breathing zones, investigating confined spaces before entry and checking for gas leaks in process pipelines. Drager tubes provide quantitative results with a high degree of accuracy and selectivity. Since the development of the first Drager tube more than 60 years ago, the product line has expanded to hundreds of tubes capable of measuring more than 350 different gases and vapors.
